MONKEY FOREST SANGEH



Sangeh is the of small village in Badung Regency. Sangeh is a small fertile rain forest habitats by the group of monkeys. Sangeh Monkey Forest are filled with giant nutmeg trees capable of growing as high as 40m


Sangeh is one of Bali Tourist Destinations only 1 hour from Denpasar city. Strategically located beside of the main road from Denpasar to Petang Village. The group of the monkey living together in this forest.



The main attractions here are the hordes of funny yet wise Balinese monkeys inhabiting both the trees and the temple, Pura Bukit Sari, found in the heart of the forest



Monkey Forest Sangeh have history, The mythos of this Sangeh Forest is relevant to the happening of forest wood evacuation from Agung Mount in Karangasem to Mengwi in regency of Badung. But on the way of the evacuation, it seen or known by somebody so that it finally becomes the forest which is named with Sangeh


The monkeys of the forest are believed to be sacred and indeed will approach anyone paying respects at the temple. But visitors should be aware that these monkeys are attracted to shiny objects, so cameras and jeweler should be left behind or kept well hidden under clothes or in a bag when exploring Sangeh Bali.
